(Photos from Ammon and Tamra’s wedding. December 2010)
Today I’m going to take a break from regular posting to share something that’s dear to my heart. These two adorable girls are my sister-in-law, Tamra’s cousins. The first time I met Abigail and Natasha was at church. I was sitting in the back of a class and I saw this adorable one-year-old with Down Syndrome, blond hair and pigtails. She was so fun to watch because she was just so happy! Then someone came in the room with her twin sister. Also with pigtails. I about died. They were so funny! One of them crawled into my lap, took my pen from me, and started scribbling on the paper I was holding. Instant adoration for these girls. You can’t help but smile when you’re around them.
Abigail was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2011. Natasha was diagnosed with it in October. They are the only set of identical twins both with Down Syndrome and Leukemia. You must watch the little video below. If you are in a situation that you are able, and this story touched your heart strings, visit www.helpourtwins.com to help with donations. If you are understandably unable to help financially, any prayers you could send on behalf of Abigail, Natasha, and their family would help. Thanks for anything you send their way! You guys are amazing!
Upcycled Thursdays shall continue tomorrow!
