One of my favorite things to give is a scarf. You don’t have to worry about it fitting well, but it’s still personal. I love it! For Valentine’s Day, this scarf would be a great gift for any friend!
For this scarf, I used a really comfy cotton knit. I made a stamp out of linoleum and used two types of metallic paint. I originally used a fabric paint pen to draw hearts on the fabric. That is a terrible idea for knits! It would work well for a non-stretchy woven fabric, but it was so hard to draw hearts on a fabric that stretches in all direction. After some not-so-nice words to my fabric and pen, I bailed the hand drawing plan. The stamp worked beautifully though! I was able to still use the paint from the pen by filling in my stamp with the ink, then applying the stamp to my fabric. After I was done printing my fabric, I made an infinity scarf using this method.
I love the way the metallic hearts turned out against the beautiful color of this fabric!

This scarf is on its way to a friend that could use a little extra love. I can’t wait to send it off! Are you working on any fun Valentine’s Day gifts?
